In an effort to add some much-needed power to their lineup, St. Louis trades outfielder-first baseman David Green, shortstop Jose Uribe, pitcher Dave LaPoint, and outfielder-first baseman Gary Rajsich to the Giants for slugging first baseman Jack Clark. He will average 22 home runs a season for the Redbirds.
